Muddy Creek Horse Riding Rain Coats are ultra lightweight, waterproof and breathable meaning real comfort and protection - in and out of the saddle - for you in any kind of weather - rain, chilling wind, snow, sleet or even tropical Australian downpours.
These coats are designed roomy through the body and cut extra big to ensure that you, your expensive saddle and any other equipment you are carrying, are covered and protected from the elements.

These coats are ultra lightweight - 1/3 weight of traditional oilskins (even when wet!) due to the nature of the porous nylon used to make them. 
The material works as a system, with millions of tiny pores (like our skin) which allow moisture vapour to pass through. However these pores are too small to allow water droplets to come through its outer protective coating. This means that Muddy Creek Rain Gear is waterproof and breathable so you can be out in the rain without feeling like you are in your own personal sauna!  See our fabric maintenance page for tips. 
 
The coats are machine washable and quick dry. They easily roll up to fit into a cantle or saddle bag. 
They are fully lined with quality nylon taffeta and seams are taped and heat welded throughout preventing leaking. 
The coat has 2 large exterior pockets with safety velcro closures and a sturdy 2 way zipper covered by a wide velcro storm flap closure. Sleeves and collars also have velcro closures. 
The long coats feature an oversized shoulder cape assists water flow off you. The generous oversized design of the long coat gives you plenty of room to move in the saddle,  to layer up comfortably underneath in winter and to give you maximum weather coverage in the saddle. The extra long length covers and protects your lower legs whilst riding.
 
An interior  pocket with a velcro closure keeps mobile phones and other small items safe and dry through out your ride. 
The hood is large enough to fit over a helmet. It has a brim and drawstring to stop rain running into your eyes and down your neck. An adjustable velcro strap at the back makes the hood adjustable for all helmet sizes. The hood is fully detachable and can be removed completely or stored in the collar of the coat.
